KAPU x AIYÊ: Glass on Geary [2023]
Poster Design and Creative Direction.
KAPU x AIYÊ was a glass bending workshop being conducted by the Australian artist KAPU
who approached me to design a poster for the event taking place in Toronto, Canada.
The brief was to create a similar format of the aesthetic I had designed for EARTHEN 2021
while still leaving room for experimentation and creating something new.
Keeping that in mind, I started with the approach of showcasing the glass pieces that would be made
during the workshop in abstract forms, playing with light and colours - leading to a unique composition.
After the initial iterations, I chose to take direct inspiration from KAPU’s work itself
and showcase it in an abstract material within the poster as the main subject.
